Lucca is a city and comune in Tuscany, Central Italy, situated on the river Serchio in a fertile plain near the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is the capital city of the province of Lucca. It is famous among other things for its intact Renaissance-era city walls, the medieval town is perfectly preserved and the city is famous also for the many churches (S.Martino, S.Michele, S.Francesco…) and palaces (Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo Pfanner…)
